A full week… So full, in fact, that I’m too behind on things to reflect much. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing— because I’m out there living life— or if it’s a bad thing— because I’m not slowing down to appreciate that life. Either way, it was my life this week.
Sunday
I did manage to get my October bujo spread done, though!
Monday
And I put up this busy (perhaps a little too busy) plot diagram for an activity with the kid that ended up being quite fun!
Tuesday
I also managed to get my ass out of bed early enough to get a WOD in at Nash’s BEFORE jumping on my writers Zoom at 6:00. How do you like them apples, universe? I got the jump on you this week!
Wednesday
I also tried a pumpkin spice latte for the first time in my life. I then spilled said latte all over my pants as I got in my car, which is fine because it was overrated anyway. But at least I tried something new!
Thursday
Soccer has made my schedule a little hectic, but I have to say: I love it. And I love my co-coach. Coop and I are always having mind melds. We are so effortlessly in-sync as coaches, that this season with the girls has been a true joy. We have a great group of girls, too. Some of them have no business being on the soccer field, but they’re kind and coachable and they make me smile.
Friday
While I’m obviously anti-global warming, the longer fall seasons are a plus side in my book. Friday was the perfect temperature for a walk in the park with my dear friend, Kath (AKA Guru Kath). I love a good walk, and it’s all the better with a great walking partner like her.
Saturday
My pops had his surgery this week (he was diagnosed with prostate cancer a little while back), and all seemed to have gone well. He was in discomfort, but he was home. I popped over to check on him and take Bails out, and the smell of the grapevines called to both of us. Or rather, the smell of the grapes called to me, and the leftover smell of the opossum that feasts on the grapes at night called to Bailey. It is fully fall, friends.
