I’m a woman of few words again this week. Life is BUSY.
Sunday
But I spotted Mormon Row in the background graphics of Jon Stewart’s new show.
Monday
And got greeted enthusiastically several times by my neighbor’s cat.
Tuesday
I also think the students had fun with some of the lessons this week, which is always a win.
Wednesday
Parent/family conferences are via Google Meets again this year, which means I could exchange side glances off-camera with my colleagues. Tomaino and Ben cracked me up as usual. Dunne, too. And Tomaino said “in regards to” so many times that Ben and I started keeping a tally.
Thursday
Got to work on Popsicle’s Christmas gift. Ordered this from Etsy and couldn’t be happier with the results!
Friday
A full Superintendent’s Conference Day found the ELA department working our asses off in Darren’s room. We potlucked it and hid away for most of the day completing all the redundant tasks the district asks us to do, but we had visitors. Myatt popped in with his ridiculous hat, and Tomaino and Donnelly came to chat with us, too. Then Joan and I got to work co-planning and some mouths dropped open at how truly well we work together. We are genuine brainstorming/planning partners. I feel so lucky we were teamed up for this pilot program and proud to know Joan feels the same.
Saturday
Coop and I assisted with the second varsity sectional game. I was sick again because my immune system sucks, and the girls lost, but it was a good game, and we still managed smiles and laughter.
