Whirlwind of a week. I feel as thought that’s a running theme these days. I think that’s a good thing?
Sunday
Although I am looking forward to slowing down a bit and focusing on my writing. I bought a new NaNo mug to replace the one I broke, and I used it for the first time for some inspiration.
Monday
Spirit Week was actually fun this year. The students enthusiastically participated, and a lot of the staff did, too.
Tuesday
I tried boxing for the first time ever. It’s not something I ever thought I’d do, but what is life if not an excuse to gain some experiences? Did I build up a lot of body heat that caused a slight recurrence of symptoms? Yes, yes I did. But no one noticed except me, so I guess that’s something. I’m ready to go back and kick total ass.
Wednesday
While twinning with Ben on Tuesday was fun (our pic together was iconic, though not included in this batch of pics), rocking my soccer clothes all day was a tidal wave of nostalgia for me. I have literally owned this pair of underamour leggings since TENTH GRADE. I felt at home in these clothes. And totally badass.
Thursday
I admit I was skeptical about “Anything But a Backpack” Day, but the kids really brought it. One kid carted around a microwave all day with his books in it, and at lunch time he plugged it in and made popcorn.
I wish I’d thought ahead of time to grab my guitar or trumpet case, but the picnic basket worked surprisingly well.
Friday
Clearly I am the one who takes this shit seriously. In my defense, I have to. I co-advise Student Council, after all.
For those who aren’t science nerds (I’m not either; this was Lynch’s idea), we are the noble gases. I am Xenon. I am also Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century. Look it up. I nailed it.
Saturday
This was one hundred percent Friday night, and not Saturday. But since I went through my pictures after midnight, I’m allowing it. Plus, I really like this pic of Fortier and me. Rosie the Riveter’s lipstick is fun. I wish I had the guts to wear this pop of red more often.
